Email notifications of new posts not being sent to blog followers

    Hi,

    I recently found out that my blog followers have not being receiving email notifications when a new post is published on the site.

    Please can someone help with this.

    Hello there.

    Please send me a link to your most recent post which was not received in your subscribers’ email boxes.

    I see that you have 66 blog followers, and 7 additional followers who have subscribed to your site via email only. Do you know which type of your followers have not been receiving their email notifications? Have these people ever received email notifications, and the service stopped, or have they never received their emails?

    Have the subscribers who have signed up with their email addresses confirmed their subscriptions? And have those who have subscribed to your blog asked that they receive notifications via email? You can send them to the following link, to make sure they’ve signed up correctly:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/

    You can ask them to check the spam/junk folder in their email program to make sure the messages were not filed there by mistake. Also, they can add @wordpress.com as an accepted sender to their email client so your emails can get through to them.

    Finally, have you subscribed to your own site via email? It’s a good way to test that your notifications are going out.

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    Email notifications stopped from the beginning of May. No email posts were sent since http://dancinginmyheels.com/2014/04/29/the-top-ten-things-to-do-in-dubai/

    I actually have 104 followers. I am subscribed with my own email and I did not receive any email updates for May until I resigned up to the blog.

    I’ve got a few friends and family member signed up and they also have not received email notifications as they always do and they just assumed I haven’t been posting anything new. None of them stopped the service. My dad is one of them. He’s checked his spam folders and is sure he’s not unsubscribed. He’s on a gmail account.

    I’ve been checking the forums and quite a few people have complained about this very issue. All these complaints came since the beginning of May.

    Make sure you have the correct delivery settings set at https://wordpress.com/settings/notifications/ to receive e-mail notifications. Also click on the ‘Edit’ link behind the blog you are following at http://wordpress.com/following/edit/ to change follower settings.
