email notifications (sharing a post) are not going through

  Ok, duh… that worked. I unfollowed and then the email went through. Thanks for holding my hand through that one.

  Woot! That took quite awhile to track down. I wasn’t aware of that restriction. Glad we got it figured out!

  Okay, if I use Chrome everything is great. But Safari is still a problem. One solution is I just use Chrome.

  That’s not a great solution! It should be working in Safari as well. When you’re in Safari, can you visit the following URL and let me know what you see at the top of the screen?

  Also, can you let me know if the sharing buttons pop-up here in Safari?

  One other thing to check in Safari – can you let me know if you have a Develop menu? If so, can you let me know if any of these items are checked?

  Ok, Jeremy so I did my most recent homework.

  As far as http://www.whatismybrowser.com/, The top confirms that my browser is updated (Yosemite)

  As far as the sharing buttons on your mock page — they don’t show in Safari.

  Finally, On the Develop menu, none of the items are checked.

  Also, I still must go to Chrome to respond to your emails. I am sure this is all from the same problem.

  Hi Shay,

  Thanks for sticking with me on the testing here! I’m still a bit stumped on what could be going on. Can you try the following?

  1. In Safari, open the console under Develop -> Show Error Console

  2. Navigate to this link (our forum thread):

  https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/email-notifications-sharing-a-post-are-not-going-through

  3. Try to reply back to me through Safari.

  Can you let me know if some error pops up in the console (it would come up with a red line of text)?

  Yes, errors came up. I still could not respond through Safari.
  I took a screen shot to show you the errors, but I can’t figure out how to share them with you here.

  Basically they said: “blocked a frame with origin “https://plus.google.com” “Protocols, domains and ports must match”
  “Failed to load resource” “Server responded with a status of 404”
  “syntax error, unrecognized expression: %23postform”
