Email Notifications stopped
-
I had to stop comments for a day as I would not be able to moderate. When I opened up comments the next day, all email notifications stopped coming in. I can see them on the Comments section on the site but nothing in my email. I even went back and resubmitted the email but still nothing. Any advice?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I never chnage my comment settings when I’m away and unable to moderate comments. I simply let them pile up. I’m not clear if you restored your comment notification settings.

All settings are correct and I am subscribed. Its has to be something simple because it’s too hard to fix. Thanks

Please hang in there while waiting for Staff and rest assured they will sort this for you as as soon as they can.

Hi thewiseguyaz, can you double check your email’s spam/junk folder to make sure the comment notification emails aren’t being sent there?
If the emails aren’t there, can you send me a link to one or two of the comments on your blog that you didn’t receive a notification for? I’d be happy to have our team look into the issue for you. Thanks!

The Spam does not have them. If the last hundred or so emailed correctly and then the last few don’t why would you suspect that they would go to the Spam?

The last few of these did not email

This just came in without emailing.

Hi there, thanks for the links! I just wanted to be sure that nothing had changed to send the emails to your spam folder. Our team is looking into this for you, and I’ll let you know what they find out.
-
We checked our records, and the email notifications for these comments were sent and delivered to your email address. You may want to contact your email service provider to find out what could be happening to the emails.
-
I get your notifications on the same email address. I’m really sure its not on this end. What address do you show they went to because if your message comes in, they all would come in. I have hundreds that came in on this same address and then when I shut comments off for one day, they stopped coming in. I don’t think my provider even cares if I shut off the comments.
-
Please send me the details of the last comment you actually show delivered to (email visible only to moderators and staff)

Hi there, I sent you an email with the successful delivery reports for one of your latest comments. You may want to contact your email service provider with that information, and please let us know if your provider says there is anything we can do to help.
I also want to let you know that email addresses are automatically redacted in the forums, but staff can always view them. I sent the email to the email address you provided here.

Another one just came through on the site with no email notification

Hi, my site does not send any email notifications when people comment. Even when I clicked “forgot password” when trying to login in the backend, it doesn’t send me any emails. Can someone please assist me on this problem? Thanks in advance.
-
@sandyl164 – I see that you posted your question in a separate thread here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/why-isnt-email-notifications-working?replies=1
We will assist you with this issue there as soon as possible. Thanks!

Here my status on this problem. My provider says everything is good on their end. WordPress says everything is good on their end. My email program is good. Nothing changed other than I turned of email notifications for a day and when I turned it back on. It stopped and is still stopped.
-
@thewiseguyaz – Did your email provider have any additional information about the email mentioned in the email system logs we sent you? According to our logs, your email provider is receiving those emails, but we can’t control what happens to the email after it is accepted by your email provider. Please let us know if your provider says there is something we can do to help.

They said the log showed evidence that the message would be called spam so I had them turn off all the spam filters and it still does not show up or even come in as spam which it didn’t do in the first place. Did sandyl164 problem get resolved?
