Email Notifications stopped

@thewiseguyaz – Since the problem is with your email service provider marking the emails as spam, you will need to follow up with them to resolve this issue. Please let us know if your provider says there is anything we can do to help.
-
Okay I understand your postition but lets take this logical approach. The spam part is not the issue as I turned off all spam filters and so did my provider on their end.
Facts are this, I turned off my notifications for a day via wordpress and turned them back on the next day. They stopped. I did not go into anything related to my provider or in the software. My email was not changed, my email program was not changed.
There is something wrong we are not looking at. Something less obvious than a log that shows it sent. They don’t show receiving it.
Please press on with this more than just a reply and ask other engineers if they can see the issue in another way and find a resolution. This isn’t a deal breaker by any means but it should spark some ‘challenge’ interest on your part because as I stated, I turned off notifications one day and turned them back on the next, and they stopped. -

Hi WordPress Happiness Engineer & WordPress Users,
I am pretty sure I know the answer to this question but just to double check – is there a way that I can turn off the email notifications being sent to my blog subscribers when I submit a new post?
I believe that this can only be done on their end of things but if there is a way I can remove this function it would greatly help me. My blog is GCA Acorn found here: gcamerica.wordpress.com
Let me know what else you may need from me. An answer is greatly appreciated. Would also love any feedback from any users who have faced this issue.

Hey, gcamerica. Different issue than this thread’s problem, you probably need to start a new thread. You’ll get more feedback. . . Good luck.

@thewiseguyaz – It is curious that this started happening when it did, but our system logs do show that the comment notification emails are being sent and are received by your email provider. Based on that information, the issue seems to be with how your email provider is handling the emails.
Can you try whitelisting emails from WordPress.com (adding it to your list of safe senders with your email provider) just to be sure?
If your email provider has more information about any issues with the email based on the logs we sent you, please let me know and we can look into it on our end.
-
Workpress.com ( all donotreply and all other types ) have always been whitelisted. please reply and I have the notify me of followup posts via e-mail selection box checked. We’ll see if it comes in from this side of wordpress

Check your logs now, I just received 4 approvals for the same comment at exactly 8 pm. I tried to send you a snapshot of the mail but this won’t let me attach it.
-
I added the Jpg, wp.jpg to my library. This comment came in on another small post, ‘A burger recipe for Jeremy and Sean’ and not “Next Time you think, I don’t like cops’ so I thought I had missed maybe that I had turned off the post by itself but all correct boxes are checked. There’s something in the original post that has to be doing this. Is there a comment limit due to size? Is there another checkbox? Still odd, the email was up and running all day and then right at 8pm these four just popped in. The reason why I went to the computer to check is that I just recieved the notice on my Iphone and I was surprised.
-
It looks like something happened between the previous comment (on “Next Time you think, I don’t like cops”) and the latest comment (on “A burger recipe for Jeremy and Sean”) so you’re receiving the notification emails now. Please let me know if you have any trouble with notifications you receive from here on out!

Check out my media. I have placed 5 files ‘Comment 1 – 5’. These are sites I follow. You’ll notice all except one, the one I received after I approved the comment are from different blogs but all come in as ‘Realistic Cooking Ideas for Busy People’ as the sender and is one site I follow. The other thing, I know receive email notifications but there are always 2 of the same note at the same time.
Thanks -
I never heard back. My notifications are coming from everywhere and always from realistic cooking view my media

Hi there, sorry for the delay getting back to you about this!
You’ll notice all except one, the one I received after I approved the comment are from different blogs but all come in as ‘Realistic Cooking Ideas for Busy People’ as the sender and is one site I follow.
Can you look up that email address in your Contacts? Your comment notification emails come from the same address, so it’s possible that the name “Realistic Cooking Ideas for Busy People” was added along with that email address to your contacts. Then, any email you receive from that address is getting that name assigned to it.
I know receive email notifications but there are always 2 of the same note at the same time.
Does this happen for all email notifications (blog posts, comments, etc.) or only one kind of email notifications? Can you give me an example of a recent notification where you received two copies? I can use that information to look into this further for you. Thanks!
-
The two copy issue seems to have stopped but all new post notifications come from one place. Ex. I just recieved the Arizona Highways new post from Realistic Cooking. I put the examples on my media of previous times this has happened
-
Thank you for providing the screenshots of this issue — I did take a look at them. It looks like the Realistic Cooking name was saved in your Contacts for that email address. That’s why it keeps appearing on the email notifications in your email client. You may want to check your Contacts on your computer or in your email client to see if that’s the case.
