Email notifications to followers

Dear folks, I have several WP blogs. On some my gravatar is displayed in the email notifications of new posts sent to followers, but on some not. I can’t find the setting to let my gravatar be displayed on those where it is not? Please help, and thank you!

However, it would be helpful to have some specifics. What is a blog where it is appearing and a blog where it is not?

Many thanks, I do appreciate it. The avatar appears on potatoquotetoday.com (potatoquotetoday.wordpress.com) but NOT on potatonewstoday.com.

The main difference that I can see is that you have a blavatar set for one but not for the other.

Has a blavatar:

Thank you for taking the time to look into this, I really appreciate it. The weird thing is this: It is for the blog potatoquotetoday.com where one was NOT set that the blavatar DOES show up in the email notifications! (I did set it now anyway). But It does NOT show up for the one where the blavatar WAS set? Really weird… I looked at every possible setting and can not find a solution… Would appreciate it so much if you might be able to spend another few mins on this please? Many thanks,

Now that the blavatar is set, please report back the next time notifications go out if anything has changed regarding the email image. I think that may point us in the right direction.

No, you do not understand? Please read my previous reply carefully? I said that the weird thing is the fact that the blavatar DID display for the blog where it was NOT set. I still does NOT display for the potatonewstoday.com site where it WAS set! You understand? I have no clue why or where to look for a solution…

Yes, I understand that.
What I was trying to explain is, if the new blavatar that you just set (on the site that previously didn’t have one, but was showing the image in your emails, potatoquotetoday.com) caused the image to disappear from the email, then we would know that the glitch was likely in the blavatar or notification system.
If things stayed the same (with potatoquotetoday.com sending the image and potatonewstoday.com not) then the issue is more likely in a different setting based on the blogs themselves.
Sometimes tracking down these sorts of errors require a little trial and error.

Ahh, many thanks, I follow… I sent an email notification to my followers a few minutes ago from potatonewstoday.com, and unfortunately the blavatar is still not showing up. Any other suggestions please? Thanks again for your time, and of course your patience – I do appreciate it…

I made sure that my other WP blogs have a blavatar in place, and they do. I sent an email notification to potatotalktoday.com yesterday and the blavatar showed up in the email. My guess is that something is the missing somewheres in potatonewstoday.com

I am so sorry to take your time with this issue, but thank you. Here goes: The gravatar on potatonewstoday.com DOES appear now in the email notifications – on the right of the heading that reads: New post on Potato News Today. No gravatar on the left of the heading of the post though. On the OTHER blogs though, a WP logo appears on the right of this heading, ie New post on Potato Quote Today, while my gravatar appears on the left of the heading of the post. THAT is where I want my gravatar to appear on the Potato News Today notifications – on the left of the heading for the particular post. I really went through every detail comparing the settings etc for Potato News Today with the other blogs and can for the life of me not find the reason or any difference in settings that are different. Please help? Thanks again for your time and efforts…

So, I think the easiest thing for me to do is going to be to subscribe to both potatonewstoday.com and potatoquotetoday.com and see what the differences are.
Are you planning on publishing on both of those in the next 24-48 hours?

I just published to potatonews and potatoquote, and lo and behold, the gravatar displays correctly now on potatonews! Holy cow, seems all is well then!? Maybe it had something to do with the gravatar not on all my other WP sites? I do not know – or care, just happy that things seem to be okay now! Just want to thank you so much for spending your time on this, I greatly appreciate it okay? Many thanks…
