Email notifications to my blog followers

  Question about the email that my followers receive when I’ve made a new post. Right now this email notification displays images from the post, and when the follower clicks on an image it opens that image in its own browser tab with no way to get to the full post itself. I’d like the image link within the email to open to the gallery of multiple images, or just to go to the new full post within my blog. Is there a way to change the settings of the email notifications that my followers receive? Thank you!

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately there wouldn’t be a way to change that. However, what you can do, is set your email notifications to only show an excerpt of the post. This will essentially remove all images/media in the notification and show a portion of your blog text content. Then the reader will click into the post itself to finish reading it. I see that you have already done this in your Settings.

  Thanks for your reply. However, I can’t find any indication that I changed this setting. I went through every subcategory in “Settings” and don’t see any option to change settings related to emails my followers receive for new posts. Where is this within the dashboard?

  Hi there,

  I see that you were already able to do this! If you go to Settings > Reading in your Dashboard, you just set For each article in a feed, show to:

  Summary
