Email notifications to only include excerpt?
-
Is there a way to make only a specific excerpt from my latest blog posts show up in the email followers receive when I’ve posted something new, rather than them getting the whole thing in their inbox? Then they’d have to click the “read more” in order to see the rest on the WordPress blog where it’s posted in its entirety?
Too often, after I hit the “publish” button, even after I thought I edited sufficiently to my liking, I notice something I want to change, so I go back into the post and I fix it. However, those who are seeing the whole original post will also see the original pre-edited version.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Go to My Site ->Manage ->Settings ->Writing.
Under Feed Settings, toggle the button to
Limit feed to excerpt only -
Hmm… that’s for using WordPress on a phone, I think. I am trying to translate that to how to do it on my computer. Any advice?

@steenmom glad you’ve got it. That setting applies to feeds as well as to emails. Are you all set now?
