Email Notifier to those who posts comments

  I offer Feedburner RSS and Email subscription to my readers but have found myself wondering about notifying those who post comments so they can also receive updates to the articles they had commented to. I did a search here “email notifier” and saw many threads relating to Email subscription or RSS feeds. I do not mind paying for such service and perhaps WordPress may want to consider it an optional service for those who want it.

  People can always grab the RSS feed of that particular posts to follow comments as well. That is the good thing about WordPress, all posts and comments have their own RSS feed as well ;)

  Yes for the web savvy and the initiated feeds are fine. I have a very large group of readers who despite their interest in my articles and photo galleries aren’t the “pull” type of visitors and almost expect information to be “push” to them one way or another. The only way I think works best is through push-email. For this reason I hope to see a premium service on WordPress offered. I can imagine if this was offered Free of Charge, it would overwhelm WordPress processed and cause problems.
