Email offer of $3/month shows up as $3.99/month when I click through

I was thinking about upgrading my free site, but I’m not being offered the rate that the email tells me I’m entitled to.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
I am sorry but I am not sure what you mean. Did you get an email from WordPress.com mentioning this offer? Can you let me know the sender’s email address just to confirm?
Thanks!

Hi there, from what I remember from the promotion email I received from WordPressdotcom, the $3 mentioned in the email is $3 per month, which is comparable to the Personal plan. https://wordpress.com/plans/craftbrewinthecariboo.wordpress.com
Let us know if you have any other question.

Hey there,
Just to follow up, the “personal” plan of WordPress.com, which is the cheapest one, starts at $2.99 but you will have to pay the amount for one year up front as we don’t offer monthly plans. So the total amount you’d need to pay if you select “personal” plan will be $35.88 (Depends on your country as well)
Thanks

Yes, I’m also thinking that the difference of $2.99/month and $3.99/month might be due to currency differences.

It is Canadian, but the promotion was for a .ca domain, which would generally be used by Canadians, so I’d expect to be sold to in CAD.

Pretty likely. I’ve tagged this for Staff attention. Thank you for your patience while they get back to you.

Hi there,
The price you see on the plans page is in CAD, yes, though the email should also be showing the price in that currency.
I’ve sent an email to the address on file for your account. Can you please reply to that email and forward the marketing email you’d received? If the email is showing the wrong currency I can make sure it’s reported to the right team to get that fixed.
