Email only subscribers don't show on dashboard
-
When an email only follower subscribes to my blog, I get an email that a new subscriber has signed up, however none of the new users are showing up on my dashboard.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your wordpress.com subscribers are found here https://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog_subscribers
Note that the title there includes Publicize followers from social networks. https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/
Your email only subscribers are here https://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog_subscribers&type=email
Is that where you are looking?

Yes that is where I went, it shows blog subscribers but not email subscribers. I had 3 sign up the past hour but none have shown up on the dashboard at
https://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog_subscribers or at

Hi there,
I don’t see an email subscription widget on your site. I do see a MaiChimp subscriber pop-up. Are those emails coming from WordPress.com or from MailChimp?
If someone signs up via the MailChimp form they won’t show in your WordPress.com stats, as MailChimp is a completely separate service from us and we don’t have any access to the subscriber data in your account with them.
-
The reason the MailChimp subscription is there is because the WordPress subscriber email part wasn’t working. I had a couple of people test the WordPress follow blog widget and they received the email and confirmed, but it doesn’t show on my dashboard. I have no record of their subscription.
-
I’ll need to know the email addresses of the people that tried to subscribe to check that, please. If you post the email addresses on their own lines here I’ll be able to see them, but they’ll be hidden from public view.
-
I can give you one of my personal secondary email addresses I used to subscribe that didn’t who up.
(email visible only to moderators and staff)

Thanks for the email. I can confirm that that email address is not subscribed to your, or any other site on WordPress.com.
I tried subscribing as a test myself via the follow button bottom-right on your site, logged out, using an email not connected to any WordPress.com account, and it subscribed me without any problems, so the subscription option is working as far as I can see. You should see that subscription listed under My Sites ->People now.
Can you please give me the exact steps you followed to sign up using that email address?
Were you logged out of this account when you clicked the button in the confirmation email? If you were already logged in to a WordPress.com account while clicking the Confirm button for a different email address it wouldn’t have accepted it, as clicking that button will only take you back to the account where you’re already logged in.
I also see two pending follows on your site, meaning they are people who signed up but haven’t confirmed that they want to follow the site yet.
-
I see your email as a follower.
I was logged in and maybe that why it didn’t register me?
The other two must be the others who were testing it for me and didn’t confirm. I will follow up with them.
