Email Post Changes

I have followed all of the instructions for email notification for new posts, but it does not email anybody. We have a family blog and want to share news and pictures. I want everybody to get an email when a new post goes up. How do I make this work?

The Email Post Changes feature only lets registered blog authors know if an existing post is changed. It does not send out notifications of new posts to readers/followers.
There is no way for us to send out automated emails from our blogs. You can invite your family members as followers from the Users ->Invite New option in the dashboard, but they will both need to accept the invitation AND enable email notifications before they will receive emails. In other words, it’s all up to them.
