"Email Post Changes" is not sending emails
-
I have a private website that is hosted at wordpress.com and is not local. Myself and a few others first create and then edit the same pages many, many times and would like a comparison email sent to certain recipients when anything on a page is changed. This feature worked well in the past and would email everyone (as it should) – but all of a sudden, everyone stopped getting these emails when page updates are published. All emails from wordpress.com are whitelisted through our email filters so I know they are not getting blocked as spam or junk. Also, if someone creates a new blog post, we get emails. It is just the emails from Page Changes that we are not receiving.
My settings in WP Admin -> Settings -> Email Post Changes all look correct.
Help please!

We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs.
Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.
-
This relates to a wordpress.com hosted blog. I cannot provide the exact name and address of the blog as it is private and only open to several members. Do you have any suggestions?
-
It is just the emails from Page Changes that we are not receiving.
Pages are static and for content that rarely changes. They don’t have RSS Feeds so there cannot be any email updates sent from Pages.
-
Page updates always sent emails with a comparison of the changes from the old version to the new version in the past. I thought this was the purpose of the ‘Email Post Change’ feature?
-
No static Page updates on wordpress.COM hosted blogs are ever sent out be email as there are no RSS Feeds on Pages. RSS Feeds exist only on posts..
No URL provided = no support.
Please post URL a stop wasting your time and mine. -
oosps! correcting a typo
be email was meant to be by emailPost vs page reference link for wordpress.COM blogs https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
-
Aha! Maybe you are referring to this https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/email-post-changes/
If you are referring to it then know that support doc refers only to blogs hosted by wordpress.COM and as you have not provided the site URL I cant verify where it is hosted.
-
Yes, that is exactly what I am referring to. Again, the site is hosted by WordPress.com. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to fix this issue.
-
If you are referring to a blog hosted by wordpress.OM and you have a paid upgrade, please use the “Contact Support” form, https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ where you will receive a choice of having staff answer your question publicly or privately. From: https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
If you do not have a paid upgrade then you can email
help@wordpress.com
or
support@wordpress.com -
Edit: wordpress.OM was meant to wordpress.COM
Bottom line: We Volunteers on this peer support forum cannot provide a fix for any site we do not have the URL for, and that we cannot view any blogs with private visibility settings; only Staff an do the latter.
