Email post changes only coming to me

    I enabled “Send an email when a post or page changes.”

    I selected all the members of my private blog in the “Users to Mail” box and added a couple more email addresses to “Additional Email Addresses” with the hope all would be emailed when an author posted.

    I selected both “Pages” and “Posts”

    I am the only one who receives an email notification.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi there,

    Can you have the others check their email spam/junk folder to see if the email notifications are ending up there? They may also need to add WordPress.com as an approved sender in their email client.

    If that doesn’t resolve this, please let me know and we can keep investigating it for you. :)

    I don’t think that is the problem. As a test, I included a couple of my other email addresses both in the upper section of the send email page as well as the “other email”. No emails were received.

    Hi there,

    I just realized what’s going on. You’d like everyone to receive a notification when a new blog post is published, right? The setting for “Send an email when a post or page changes” will send an email whenever a post that was already published is edited or changed. That is, it will send you an email to show what changes were made to that post. However, it won’t send out emails for new posts.

    If the other users on the blog want to follow the blog (to get notifications when a new post is published), they can do that by logging in to their WordPress.com account and then visiting the blog here: http://csicresearch.wordpress.com/

    In the admin bar at the top of the blog, they can click the “Follow” button to receive updates with every new post.
