It is my understanding that each of my email followers should receive an email each time a blog is posted. My email followers say they are not receiving them. Am I missing something?

There are many ways to follow a blog. If a visitor is also a WordPress.com member, they can follow you by clicking the Follow link in the bottom, right corner of your screen. They can also follow you by clicking the social media buttons I can see you have on your site. When visitors click the Follow link, they’ll get emails updates by default, but they can also choose to not receive them.
However, they can also follow you by email only, and this is very useful for adding followers who are not WordPress.com users. The problem is that you haven’t added an option for this on your site at the moment. But it’s quite easy to add. Here’s how:
Log in to your wp-admin panel found here:
https://sufjc.wordpress.com/wp-adminIn the main menu to the left, click Appearance > Widgets. On the left side of the screen that appears you can see all the widgets available to you, and on the right side you can see the widget area where you can insert these widgets. Find the widget called Follow Blog, click it and then click on the Add Widget button that appears. Fill out the settings that appears, and remember to save.
Now go back to your site, reload it, and make sure that you have an email sign up widget on the left side of the screen.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your help, but I don’t have anything to the main menu that says Appearance>Widgets. Maybe something is missing from my site or could it possibly be it is a free package. I cannot afford to buy a package, so I was hoping this would work.

It should be available on any WordPress.com site.
Did you log in to your wp-admin panel? It´s found at:
https://sufjc.wordpress.com/wp-adminNotice how you can enter your wp-admin panel log in screen by adding /wp-admin at the end of your url.
Once logged in, you should see a menu similar to this:
