email problems!
-
I have a website that is hosted by wordpress. I needed to update my DNS setting on my site and I needed to get new codes at wordpress. I came to both wordpress.org and .com and I can’t log into either so I made a new one to contact support. I know it was managed by wordpress. I have only had 3 emails in my life and I can’t get access my password because its telling me they do not recognize my email? I want to get my site up just not sure what to do seeing how wordpress holds my DNS codes?

Hi there, I’m only finding a parked domain page for that domain. It looks like GoDaddy is your domain registrar so that is where you’d go to change the DNS settings. I do see in the WHOIS record that the name servers are currently pointing to HostGator.
You can list here the three email addresses you mentioned. Type them normally (no spaces) and the forum software will redact them from public view but Staff will be able to see them. They should be able to tell you if any of them are connected to a WordPress.com site.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. My emails are (email visible only to moderators and staff), (email visible only to moderators and staff), (email visible only to moderators and staff). Also, when I was trying to figure this out squarespace sent me a video showing that it was wordpress that I needed to contact. Here is the video link https://share.squarespace.com/1f1L2f160O2L
Thanks,

Hi there,
To change your domain’s DNS, you need to access your DNS control panel at your DNS host. At the moment, that is Hostgator.com, as that’s where your domain’s name servers are pointed. Or if you want to change the name servers themselves, you need to log in at your domain provider, GoDaddy.com
Your domain is not registered or hosted with us, so we cannot help with this – of the three email addresses you provided only the first Gmail one is connected to a WordPress.com account: this account you created to post in the forums.
The WordPress.org forums also cannot help with this, as WordPress.org is just the site where the free, open source WordPress software is maintained and supported, and they’re not controlling or managing any aspect of your site.
