Email problems and mx record setup help please
-
Hi, I’ve got email working from one way but not the other. I have setup email for bioresourceprocessing.co.nz which is forwarding to a WordPress site (the .co.nz is the primary domain though). I have tried to setup the mx records as per the email provider’s advice (Discount Domains in New Zealand) – mx1.discountdomains.co.nz, mx2.discountdomains.co.nz – however when I enter these in WordPress “.bioresourceprocessing.co.nz” is added to the end of the mx record by WordPress automatically so it reads: “mx1.discountdomains.co.nz.bioresourceprocessing.co.nz”, so I guess this is why it isn’t working properly. HELP please I need to get this email address working….
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

So we’ve got that updated correctly. However, you might double check those MX records with your domain provider just to be sure.

I’m having the same problem. My primary domain is lastfrontiermagazine.com. When I setup the mx records, smtp.secureserver.net, mailstore1.secureserver.net, in wordpress, lastfrontiermagazine.com is added to the end of the mx record by wordpress so it reads “smtp.secureserver.net.lastfrontiermagazine.com” and I need it to not be.

I hate to be pushy, but I need this fixed as soon as possible. It’s already been two days since my email hasn’t been working! Help!

Hello, I have a problem with this as well. There are no emails coming in no more. My account / blog is: kraambureauhetgeboortecollectief.wordpress.com. I changed everyting correctly at my URL-provider (www.hetgeboortecollectief.nl). WordPress says ‘DNS is correct’, but still no mail is coming through. Please help.

I suspect that your MX records aren’t formatted correctly. Can you double check with your domain provider?
