email problems with wordpress.com

    I am an admin of my website and made the mistake of changing emails in the admin panel. I have my own website not through WordPress. I accidently started to make a website here in which I did not want to do. My emails are now going to an email through outlook and not going to my primary one. I only want to use WordPress to manage my website under admin. Can someone point me in the direction to fix this.
    I am new to this and can’t find where I changed it.

    Hi there,

    I don’t see any sites under the WordPress.com account you used to post here. Can you tell us the URL of the site you’re speaking of?

    I do see you updated the email address for this username account around a month ago, but that change was never verified, so your account is still using the old email address you can see at https://wordpress.com/me/account

    But this is only for your WordPress.com username account, cathy207

    If you’re speaking of the admin email for a stand-alone WordPress site at another hosting provider, that’s something completely separate and different from your WordPress.com username account, and in that case it would be best to contact your hosting provider directly for help getting access to the dashboard again.
