email response to comments

  I am heartened by some recent comments on some of my posts.

  I have the email response setting checked in my settings, however on my most recent attempt to reply via email to a comment, the server did not connect, and listed my OLD email address.

  I have my current email address in my profile, and am curious as to how to enable future email responses to my current address.

  I don’t recall getting an email from WordPress through which I could CONFIRM it.

  How do I rectify this? Do you need to sen me another (or the first) email so I can confirm my email address?
