Email save from bots so they don’t send me spammy links

I am facing a problem when I check my site in Screaming Frog, it shows me this error: “cdn–cgi/l/email–protection“. How to solve this error on the site?

Hi @dmiller222888,
Hi [username],
The “cdn–cgi/l/email–protection” error appears because WordPress.com automatically protects email addresses from bots to prevent spammy links. This is normal and does not affect your site’s SEO or functionality.
Screaming Frog is a crawler that scans your site as if it were a search engine bot. When it encounters the email protection script, it sees the URL
/cdn-cgi/l/email-protectionand flags it as an “error” because it cannot crawl it like a normal page. This is just how the tool interprets the script and does not indicate a real problem. You don’t need to fix anything, the email protection is working as intended.
Hope that helps!

I was facing same problem when I checked my site for audit in Screaming Frog, it was showing that “cdn–cgi/l/email–protection” Warning issue. I searched a lot to fix it and finally found that it’s coming from Cloudflare’s email protection feature. What happens is Cloudflare hides your email using that script, so the crawler picks it up as an error.
I was finding the solution and then saw on a website “https://roboloxmodapk.com/” that they used a blur effect on their emails instead of that Cloudflare script. I inspected the source code of that site and found out they were using a plugin like CleanTalk Anti-Spam. So I turned off the email protection option from Cloudflare and installed the CleanTalk plugin on my WordPress site. After that, the issue was completely solved and Screaming Frog stopped showing that error.
You can do the same, just disable that option in Cloudflare and use the CleanTalk plugin.
