Email Server: GODADDY or GOOGLE APPS?
-
I just switched the Godaddy’s nameserver to WordPress’s. Done and am happy. But I am not sure yet whether to switch too the GODADDY’s email server to GOOGLE APPS’ email server.
Here are the two reasons:
1) What’s the Google Apps’ URL ADDRESS?
2) What does the Google Apps’ HOMEPAGE’s layout looks like? Thanks.
To those who want to read details to understand me better:
1) URL ADDRESS. What is the Google Apps’s URL address? I remember I used to have Google Apps a long time ago: if you write http://www.domain.com it appears your homepage. That’s good. But if you omit ‘www’ like http://domain.com the weird thing shows up: it redirects to your email’s homepage. This is what really bothered me and bothers me. This is illogical and pretty confusing because lot of people today omit the “www” just to reach to the website’s homepage.
Just to clarify, with Godaddy’s email server, if you write either http://www.domain.com or omitting “www” like http://domain.com
both of them will anyway link you to your homepage. When you want to go to your email’s homepage, you will just have to add the word “email” after http and before domain ie http://email.domain.com I like this a lot and I call it a PERFECT system. So here I am wondering if the Google Apps has changed its system? Or is it still functioning like what I ve explained earlier?
2) HOMEPAGE. Google Apps’ Homepage is pretty annoying to me. It is full of Gadgets. Even if I try to eliminate all of them, they come back in one second. And the Google bar Search is on the middle…Is it still like that today?
Godaddy: your email homepage is really professional. Nice frame with two words: username and password. Can I have like that with Google Apps?
I hope to hear some answers from you soon.
