Email set up on WP hosted site

I have set up the domain I own (sinosphere.com.au) as primary domain and mapped to the thesinosphere.wordpress.com hosted site.
However I am having a lot of difficulty trying to receive email at any email address that is @sinosphere.com.au ! I have looked through forums and your support threads but cannot find any solution that would make it work.
Also contacted my hosting provider and they have provided assistance but still does not work and have advised to contact you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have two different options for email with WordPress.com:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/
&
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/
