Email stats in Jetpack

    I’m not sue if it’s a new feature or if I have never scrolled down far enough / or noticed it before but….

    Towards the bottom of the Jetpack Stats page, after posts and pages, after countries, after authors we have videos and Emails.

    Recently, maybe the last few weeks, I have noticed I am receiving stats for opens and clicks in Emails.

    I am guessing this is response to our Mailchimp Email marketing Campaigns.
    Except we don’t have any.
    In fact, we do not do any form of marketing, email or otherwise.

    So now I am curious, where are these amazing views, clicks and readers coming from. A variant on ye olde ghost spam perhaps?

    Hi there!

    Those stats are from your new post notification emails – anyone who has subscribed to your site will get an email when a new post is published on your site. Those stats relate to how often those emails are clicked and opened on your site.

    I hope that clarifies things!
