email subscriber lists and my blog

  I am confused between the subscribers on my blog and building an email list through a service such as Aweber or MailChimp. Are they two different things? If they are, how do I get a signup on my blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes, the two are different things. Aweber and Mailchimp are for newsletters; they can handle blog posts and turn them into an email news letter, but that’s not what they were built for. You can use them to send emails to people even when you don’t post, and you can put ads in them.

  You can’t do that with an email subscriber who has subscribed through WP.com.
