Email subscriber not getting notifications

I have a subscriber/follower who counts on email notifications to alert him to new posts. Yesterday he reported he’s no longer getting those notifications. When he tried to sign up again he got the message “already subscribed.” I changed themes a few weeks ago, and cleared all cookies off my computer a few days ago, if either of those actions is relevant. What can I do to get him signed up again?

Can you ask them to post in this thread so we can take a look at their account?
Once thing you can check is to make sure they’re listed as an email follower. A list of your email followers can be found here:

No, I don’t see his address on the followers list. Can I add it manually?

@windwhistle They can add it on their end. They also might be following using their WordPress.com account.
Could you share the email address here so we can check on the settings? If you’ll just type it, it will be hidden from the public view, so only staff can see it.

I checked our system, and the email notification for @windwhistle’s most recent blog post
Ocasek was just what I neededwas sent by us and received by your email provider successfully. I also see the post in your Reader.So, everything is setup just fine with your WordPress.com account. I would check your junk or spam folder if you do not see the email in your inbox. Otherwise, I’d reach out to our email provider and verify that there isn’t anything that they are doing to prevent you from receiving emails from us.
