Email subscriber options

  Hi,
  I am looking to have a subscribe option for my readers where they can sign up for an email newsletter. I googled this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletter-manager/ but have since realised that sites hosted here don’t allow plugins. Do you have any other options for essentially creating a reader email database and then contacting them with a newsletter rather than just pushing every post?
  It may be in the online help but I’m obviously not searching with the right terms.

  Hi Tamara,

  Unfortunately, the only possibility would be to insert a Follow Blog widget. They your followers will receive an email everytime you post, but you wouldn’t be able to send them a newsletter type email.

  If this is essential for you, I highly recommend looking into moving to the self-hosted, WordPress.org install. This guide will step you through the process of moving your site to a WordPress.org instance:
