Email subscriber vs. WordPress subscriber

    Ok…I understand when I look at my list of WordPress.com subscribers, I know how they subscribed to my blog.
    But for “email subscriber”, how are they really different from WordPress.com subscriber?
    I’m just looking at my lists of blog subscribers and suddenly discovered this separation into 2 categories of subscribers. And the list is each different.

    Clue me in. I must be missing out on a basic fact.

    WordPress.com subscribers are WP.com bloggers who import your blog to their dashboard so they can read it when they sign in. WP didn’t report the WP.com subscribers before, so they’re all in addition to the subscribers you had before.
