Email subscribers

  I would like to know how many email subscribers I have and I am unsure where to locate that information. Any ideas?

  Thanks for the reply!! I attempted that and it told me I had none, even though I know that’s not accurate because I have subscribed with multiple email addresses. Any idea why that may be?

  Those stats only show email subscribers that don’t have WordPress.com username accounts. If you subscribe with an email address that already has a WordPress.com account, it is counted as a regular follower.

  Also, if you invited people to follow the blog via the Users ->Invite New feature, they aren’t automatically added as followers. They need to accept the invitation by clicking on a confirmation link before they’ll be added to your follower count and start getting email notifications. We can’t add people ourselves, only invite them.

  Same goes if you tried to subscribe on behalf of other people by adding their email addresses via the widget. They’ll need to confirm the subscription via a link before they’ll be added. There is no way to subscribe someone via email without them confirming it.
