Email Subscribers Being Blocked – They get '…we have blocked the subscription…' messag

Can someone please advise? An aquaintenace received this message when he tried to click on the FOLLOW WEARSWAR VIA EMAIL button.
‘Because there are many pending subscriptions for this email address, we have blocked the subscription. Please activate or delete pending subscriptions before attempting to subscribe’.I cannot find a feature saying I have pending email follower requests.

The user which is trying to click on the button for subscribing your blog post why email has already many pending confirmations.
Here’s how subscribing via Follow via Email button works.
When someone clicks on that button, then email notification is been sent out through WordPress to just confirm that person has actually who has subscribed.So share this link with the person who’s facing the problem and make sure that person confirms the pending subscription.
This will solve the issue.Thanks!

I thought that may be the case.
However another person subscribed but told me she does not receive any email updates. Also notifications I permitted are not being emailed to me. So I thought there maybe a bigger glitch. -

The email is sent out as a notification once you publish the new post.

Our logs show that we’ve sent you several digest subscription emails in the past 24 hours. If they’re not in your inbox, Gmail might be filtering them to the Social or Updates tabs, or they might even be going to spam.
However another person subscribed but told me she does not receive any email updates.
Can you please give me that subscriber’s email address so I can check? If you post the email address on its own line it will be hidden from public view.

All the email subscriptions for that email you gave are still pending, meaning that subscriber hasn’t confirmed their subscriptions yet. Ask them to check their inbox and spam folder for emails from us with a confirmation link for each site they’ve subscribed to. If they click that, they should start receiving subscription emails.
