email subscribers not being saved

Hi,
on my new blog, I longer get an email notification when someone subscribes via email. Their email also does not appear on the list of followers in my stats page.
this started happening 4 days ago. I have tested with multiple email accounts to confirm the functionality has definitely stopped.
I have not changed any discussion/notification settings…
Any suggestions?!

I see one new e-mail follower in your account from about 7 hours ago. Did you get notification on that one?
I also see several “pending” subscriptions, that usually means the subscriber didn’t confirm the subscription– did you respond to the verification emails for your test subscriptions?

Thanks Liz You are right there was one new one about two days ago now, just after I posted this…. and I got a notification email to tell me it made it through
… but none of the test accounts are showing, for example my boyfriends outlook account, where we definitely clicked on all the confirmation links… and a number of friends said they had subscribed and they haven’t come up… why some and not others?!How do I see pending subscriptions?
(my boyfriends email is (eddy*****@outlook.com)Any other suggestions I should check?!

Could you give me the exact e-mail addresses of the subscriptions that aren’t working? The address will only be visible to you and WordPress.com staff.
Also, it sounds like you are receiving the confirmation e-mails, but still not being subscribed, is that right?

I’ve just gone and tested with a couple more of my boyfriends email accounts and they both worked, so perhaps it is more a case of people not confirming subscriptions as you say so I don’t want to waste to much of your time.
So far it is just

who definitely confirmed via the link sent to him, but I did not get an email saying he had subscribed and did not appear on the list. I’m sure the other people who say they subscribed but it didn’t come up are just making paranoid and are in fact pending subscriptions…Thanks again

Let’s try a different approach. Please send the link below to the people having trouble with their subscriptions.
If they open it in the same browser they used to create the account they should be able to confirm from there.Note: According to our records (email visible only to moderators and staff) is already receiving posts, (email visible only to moderators and staff) has a pending subscription.
(email visible only to moderators and staff) isn’t in our database at all, so that person should try to register again from scratch, or check the link above in case there was a typo in the email address used to register
