email subscription

  Hi,

  I have one more question. How do I know who/how many people have subscribed to my blog by emai??? Couple of my friends told me that they have subscribed but I haven’t recieved any notification. Where in mh “dashboard” would I find that info???

  WordPress.com doesn’t have that option. You’re going to have to ask your friends how they’re doing it because it’s not something that’s offered here.

  They may be using feedburner.com or another service like that.

  I did follow the steps at feedburner.com to get the “subscribe by email” option. So now it appears on my blog as a side widget and if you click on it it will let you/anyone register. So does it mean that they are getting the updates via email but I am unable to know who/how many people subscribed? Or would I find that out via feedburner.com??

  I think Feedburner keeps the stats for you, but I’m not sure exactly where. Try signing into your account there and seeing what it says.

  If you go into your Feedburner account, I think it’s under ‘Optimise’ or ‘Publicise’, and then you click on the e-mail tab to retrieve that information..
