Email subscription and privacy

  I have a private blog.
  Not the one listed.
  Is there a way for email subscribers/users of a WP blog to not receive copy of posts via email, but instead a link, or would I have to password protect the posts to do that?

  Hi there,

  To follow a private site someone also needs to specifically be invited as a viewer on the site. You need a WordPress.com username account to be added as a viewer on a private site, so if you had email subscribers while the site was public, they will no longer receive notifications unless they create accounts, you add them as viewers, and they follow your site again.

  Viewers on a private sites will be able to see all posts on the site and receive email notifications for all posts (if they have that enabled), except for posts that are published as private, same as with public sites.
