Email subscription in contact form

  My organization is using a google group for our email list, and wordpress for our blog. I have a contact form set up. Right now it emails us someone’s contact information, which we then have to manually add to the google group. I’d like to add a checkbox to the form that would automatically add someone’s email address to the announcement list (a google group). Is that possible? How would I do it?
