email subscription issues

several of my friend have tried to follow my blog via email without success. Others have no problem. It seems they never get the confirmation email after clicking “follow me”…Help!

So here’s the email one of them got (I just replaced the real email by XX). It tell her that she is no currently subscribed when she clicked on the follow via email button on my blog (!?!?):
This is the management page for following blogs. You will receive an email at (email visible only to moderators and staff) whenever a new post is made on these sites. Unfollow a blog to stop receiving emails from that blog.
You are not actively following any blogs.
If you are expecting to see blogs that you are following here please check that you used the same email address and that they are not still pending.

Can you please ask her to check her spam folder for the confirmation email, or resubscribe?
She won’t appear in any list or receive any emails until she confirms her subscription.

She did get an email but it tells her in the same sentence that she will be receiving an email for every new post but it says further that shes not currently subscribed to any blog! How can this be if she did get a subscription email?
