Email subscription stats

  I just realized that when my blog is emailed to subscribers, it is emailed complete, not necessitating the subscriber to ‘click’ onto the WordPress site. Are these readers stats added without clicking to the site? Is there a way to only email part of the email with a “continue reading” link to the site?

  Also, as the posts are emailed to myself, I realized yesterday that, although the email contained the words, the video was omitted in the email (though visible on the website). Why is this? Can it be corrected on my/you end?

  Hi there! We do not collect any email-related stats, but you can truncate the content in your emails in your Reading settings:

  Change “For each article in a feed, show” to “Summary”

  We do not include most embeds in emails because of how easily and frequently they break. Not all email clients handle embeds well, so we strip them to avoid your email notifications being unreadable.
