Email Subscription Widget is not working

  I added an email subscription widget to my blog and I watched as a friend tried subscribed to the blog yet when I check the stats page her email address isn’t listed. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  When someone subscribes to you blog, they normally receive an email asking them to confirm the subscription, with a link they need to click. The message might have landed on your friend’s email client Spam folder, could you check?
