Email Subscriptions

  Hello!

  I am confused. When I look at my SITE STATS under the Dashboard, I see I have 18 Subscribers. However, I know that there are more (I have checked with a number of people, they have definitely signed up using the EMAIL SUBSCRIPTION box, and they are automatically receiving my new posts. But they are not listed as a subscriber.

  Can you let me know why they may be? Or, is it in the way they subscribed? how can I get everyone listed within Site Stats page?

  In your stats, the WordPress.com Subscribers list will show WordPress.com users that have signed up to get updates about your blog. That list shows a username, not their email address. Were the people you looked up on the WordPress.com Subscribers list?

  Thank you for the response.

  I looked up both the WordPress Subscribers (3) and Email Subscribers (15) which give me a combined total of 18…I know at least 3 email subscribers (a friend, my brother, my father) who signed up (via e-mail), receive the New Post Email, but are not listed under Email Subs on the Site Stat page….

  Is it possible they signed up for updates to post comments instead of updates for the entire blog? Subscribing to comments is a checkbox option when someone leaves a comment on a blog. If not, then they should probably be listed in either the WordPress Subscribers or the Email Subscribers list. Could you send the email addresses which are receiving email updates but are not listed in your subscriber stats to support@wordpress.com and please reference a link to this forum thread?

  Don’t put emails in a public forum. Spammers will have a field day with them.

  I just sent my question and the email addresses to support@wordpress.com as recommended by desgnsimply yesterday.. I don’t know whats wrong with me today…hard day! problems following simple instructions. Thank you again to both of you.
