Why does the email address for my account still saying pending when the user has already clicked the link provided in the email address?

I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Are you referring too sending an invitation to person with another username account become an official user of your blog? Will you please provide the username as well as email address? The software will redact ie. HIDE the email address so only Staff can see it. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Are you trying to confirm your email address for a new WordPress.com account, or are you trying to approve your address for a blog subscription? If you’re trying to subscribe to a blog, please provide the blog address. If you meant something different, please provide more details concerning your issue and I’d be happy to look into it further for you.

Sorry for the delayed response. The blog was created initially by a friend, now we are transferring ownership to someone else. With this change we wanted to change the main email address associated with the blog. The email address was changed and the confirmation email was sent to the new email address specified. The confirmation link was clicked, but the email address still saying pending change. It has been like this for days.

Please let me know what the blog address is as well as the username or email address for the user to whom you wish to transfer it. (Note that if you post an email address here it will not show up publicly and only staff can see it).

Email address initially was: (email visible only to moderators and staff), it now says “There is a pending change of your e-mail to (email visible only to moderators and staff).”Thank you for your help & please let me know if you need other information.

There is no WordPress.com user with the email address you specified.
If you would like to transfer the site to a new user account, they will need to set up their account using that email first. If you instead want to change the email address on the mbapr user account, that can be done here: https://wordpress.com/settings/account/ but the person with the new address will need to confirm that change before it takes effect.

The person with the new address did confirm and the old email has yet to switch? I’ve used wordpress for years, it’s not like I don’t know what I am talking about.

My apologies. I was a little confused by your request.
I have sent an email to the address you wanted to use for the account. Once I have received confirmation there, I can manually update the email for you.
