Email update help please??

  I tried adding a text widget for people to get email updates to my blog. I clearly did something wrong but for the life of me I can’t figure out what that “something wrong” was so I don’t know what part/s of the directions to review. Can someone please help me figure this out?? Evidently I got the feedburner part at least half right and beyond there I’m lost. Thank you for your time and help!!!!!

  Update,

  I tried adding a subscription link and now I can’t find it on the right of the main page. Oh boy, I’ve got issues!! :(

  The biggest issue is not linking your username to your blog or leaving a link to your blog (starting with http://) in your post. No can see, no can help.
