Email User

Hi I want to add a new user to my GSuite accoutn and can’t seem to find where or how to do it.

Hi there,
On what domain do you have a G Suite subscription with us?
The account you’re using to post here was created 3 hours ago, owns no sites on WordPress.com, and has never bought G Suite or any other upgrade from us.
To manage any G Suite subscription you have with us, you’ll need to be logged into the WordPress.com account that owns it.

Okay, that domain belongs to the second account you used to post here,
kathyjourdainAs long as you’re logged into this account, you should be able to add additional users at My Site ->Manage ->Domains ->Email

Hi, Kokkieh,
This doesn’t work. When I click on the Worldview Intelligence site in My Sites I don’t get the Email option under Manage. GSuite is telling me I have to go through you to do this.

Hi Marc –
This shows that no one is following that site by email:
https://wordpress.com/people/email-followers/worldviewintelligence.com -

Ok. Use this link: https://wordpress.com/email/shapeshiftstrategies.com
When you get there, at the top of the screen you should find an option to purchase G Suite. If it is not there, can you please send along a screen shot of what you are viewing? That’d be very helpful.
-
There is some confusion. I’m trying to add an email for the Domain: worldviewintelligence.com not shapeshift strategies.
Specifically I want to create the email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
We purchased GSuite through WordPress when we setup our site.
I’m trying to add a new email address and I can’t do it through gSuite. They are redirecting me to WordPress as the reseller. I can’t find where to add a new user in your dashboard.
-
Ahhh I think I understand now, Marc: worldviewintelligence.com is not pointing to our name servers, and the domains section relies on that for management.
We’re checking in with our domains team to sort out how best to handle this. Can you confirm whether you intended to have the domain pointing elsewhere, but have the email accounts purchased through us?
-
Yes. The domain points to our site host (it’s a WP.org site) and when we set up the emails using Gsuite we chose the option to do it via WP.
-
I see, thanks for the details.
Since both, your site and domain, are hosted elsewhere, there is really no point on having the subscriptions through WordPress.com.
I’d suggest canceling the GSuite account on WordPress.com – this will move the subscription directly to Google where you will be able to manage it. We can do that for you if you confirm.
The mapped domain could also be canceled. Because it’s not pointing to our servers, the subscription does not do anything.
Let us know how you’d like to proceed.
-
Ok that will work and makes sense. Please cancel and transfer directly to Google.

How long does it take for this to happen? We are in a bit of a crunch to get a new email address up and running.
Thx

I’ve just canceled the GSuite subscription on our end so you should see an email from Google with next steps in a few minutes.
Let me know in case you need help with canceling the domain mapping as well.
-
It looks like it worked I’ve set up my new email address. thank you for your help.
Cheers,
