  Hi there I can’t seem to verify my account. I ask it to send me an email and it doesn’t come through.

  can anyone help?

  Hi there!

  Have you checked your spam folder? If you’re using Gmail, also check the Social tab of the inbox.

  Have you also checked in your account setting that you have the right email address there? If you made a typo with the email address, that could be the cause.

  I have checked my spam folder and am not using Gmail.

  I did originally make a typo with the email address but have corrected it. When I corrected it it said email already in use. Very odd as it is not.

  my email is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Hi @wvmd,

  I see that your email address is the same as what you’ve entered in your last reply. Are you still not receiving the verification email? If so, can you go to this URL and make sure that you haven’t accidentally blocked the emails from WordPress.com?

  Thanks for helping. I don’t now how I would have been able to block emails from wordpress. I get all emails that are sent to my address some go to Junk though. I suspect the site is still trying to send emails to the misspelt email address, although that doesn’t exist.

  you mention a URL but there was no link in your message, is there somewhere I should go to allow emails in wordpress?

  Apologies, I somehow forgot to include the link to check. Anyway, I found that the system was indeed sending the email to the wrong email address. I have sent you an email to the right address. Please check your email inbox.

  hmm still no email, so something is still not working because the email address I can see is correct and it is not blocked at my end.

  I think it is still sending an email to somewhere else!
