Email Verification Failure

Attempted to change email address atched to this account. Message said a Verification Email would be sent to my account (this was around 11am Eastern). An email never showed up until after 10:30pm. When I clicked on the email link for verification it brought me to my Profile settings page with the old email account. Attempted to change the email address again only to get another message that another Verification email would be sent, the same process over and again 5 hours later and I’m still awaiting the Verification email.

You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.
Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.
Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.
