email viewers about new post

  When my blog was public, ‘followers’ were sent an email with each new post. Now that it is set to private, ‘viewers’ are not receiving emails about new posts. I want them to receive the emails. Help! Thank you :)

  Hi there,

  As with followers on a public site, you don’t control whether viewers on a private site receive emails or not. They do. They will need to sign themselves up for email notifications, either via a follow blog widget on your site, or via their subscriptions settings for your site in the Reader.
