email with mingle

i have set up a site using mingle with wordpress great stuff
when i register as new user it goes through the routine and is sending me a password to login
BUT i dont recieve the email with password details can anyone help
it must have something do do with the email settings available on the bottom of the setting on the mingle set up page
please help
