  I attempted to login to my site, see above, and the login did not recognize my password. I requested a password rest, the email never arrived. I requested it several times, both with the email address and my user ID. Please help me login. Thank you!

  Hi there, is it possible you have a different (second) WordPress.com account for fieldofthorns.wordpress.com?

  If so, and you need to recover that account, you can use this form to contact the team that handles this https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/ Give them as much information as possible including the site name, the relevant username and the email address associated with that account.
