Email/Domain/WordPress
-
3 days ago I mapped my domain to wordpress. I also set up an email through my domain. I am able to send emails but NOT receive them. I emailed netfirms as this is who my domain is through. And here is the reply that I got back (down below). How do I fix the issue of not receiving email? I’d love to get this fixed before I start distributing my new email address.
Thank you
Thank you for contacting Netfirms.
We would like to inform you that the domain name jenaphotography.com is currently hosted at WordPress as per the name servers ns1.wordpress.com and ns2.wordpress.com therefore please contact them for assistance with configuring e-mail accounts.

I don’t know that you can use email from and to your domain. The following is the only way I know to do it, and the only one that WordPress has mentioned: http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/05/23/gmail-mx/

Also, from the domain mapping FAQ http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/10/domain-mapping/ there is this
Q: I have mail for domain.com that I want to keep using. If I change my nameservers, will this stop working?
UPDATE: You can now use Google Apps for your email and have domain mapping + email
A: Yes, it will. If you have mail or other DNS records that you need to maintain for domain.com, you cannot currently add those here. This probably means domain mapping of domain.com is not an option for you unless you are willing to give up email on domain.com. You can still map a subdomain of domain.com and maintain this functionality, so read on! Outside DNS records may be available in the future, so stay tuned. -
Thank you!!!!!! I’ll set this up tomorrow morning. I’m off to finish watching a movie. If I need more help I’ll pst back to this post.
