emailed posts sent to subscribers are not formatted

My followers are telling me that when they receive an email with a new post, it arrives unformatted. It is just straight text. It is just the image that I selected for the post on the left followed immediately by text. The name of the blog is not even there. I subscribe to other wordpress.com blogs and their emails arrive nicely formatted with a border, header, links etc. I have the premium upgrade if that matters. This looks very amateurish. What am I missing?

Hi there!
The subscription emails that we send out all share a common template, and aren’t dependant on any upgrades. Our email’s can appear differently based on the way different email providers parse them. If you can let me know extra details about the email provider your followers are using, I’ll be happy to help troubleshoot this with you further. Additionally, you can follow your own blog to see what the emails look like to you.

thank you for the reply. I actually do follow my own blog and see it. Can I forward a screenshot to you? I am viewing it in outlook.

There are some known issues with how our email subscriptions look in Outlook. Although I can’t give a date for when they’ll fix this, I can promise that our developers are aware of this.
A screenshot would be really helpful for me to add in our report back to the developers. If you can upload it to your Media Library, I’ll be able to see it from there. Could you also let me know which version of Outlook you’re using?
