emailing forwarding – how to add email address in sidebar

  I set up an email forwarding, but cannot figure out how to get it to appear in my blog sidebar. The contact widget is just for address, map, hours. I feel like I am missing something obvious. Any help please? Thanks!

  Hi there!

  We don’t include a widget with an email link in the sidebar, as this is one of the ways spammers gather email addresses. That’s why we advise that our users utilize a contact form instead.

  However, you certain can add an email link if you like. Here are the instructions:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/email-links/

  Hi! Thank you, that does…help with my naiveté :) So my only other question is why it doesn’t work when I send myself a test email at the email address I added as a forwarding address.
