emailing to blog

    Hi there. I’m trying to set my blog up so that I can email the posts instead of signing in and I went to screen options like it was suggested but didn’t find the option to enable this setting. The only option I saw was Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages. I am blind and use a screen reader and I did this three years ago on another blog on wordpress but it doesn’t seem to work now. I am using internet explorer so should I try a different browser like chrome or firefox or is there something I did wrong in setting up my blog? Thanks for the help.

    Hello.

    I noticed that I got an email of my blog post after I sent it yet another user who I follow on another blog says that she doesn’t get emails of her posts. This made me concerned that the blog was posting to facebook or twitter which is how I have it set up for the blindflight.wordpress.com/ but I don’t want that all all for reluctantparent.wordpress.com/. I just looked and it said sharing services not checked so does that mean it’s set up the wa I want? I hope that all makes sense and I was able to get the email part going os thank you for the help.

    I also follow my own sites so I get emails of my new posts/edits as well.

    It sounds like the other blogger doesn’t have the same settings.

    Everyone who follows a site has the choice to receive email notifications, or just follow the blog in their individual Reader.

    So, it’s not that your site is “sending” notifications…rather that your subscribers are choosing to receive them or not.

    Here is more information about Email Notifications, and how you can change your settings, if you prefer:

    You do not have auto-publicize setup for reluctantparent.wordpress.com. New posts will NOT be auto-published to your social media accounts.
