I am thinking of adding email to my order, but I need to know if the email will work as a subscribers email where people can subscribe to my site or is it just a contact email?

It sounds like you’re talking about adding G Suite. Adding email won’t change anything about the way your blog’s email subscriptions function. Those are handled through WordPress.com. It will allow you to have [youremails]@yourdomain.com inboxes. You can give that email address to anyone, and you’ll receive that email in your inbox. To learn more about G Suite, check this out.
