Emails about domain transfer
-
I am in the process of leaving WordPress.com to host my site with another company. Yesterday I began the process of changing my domain’s registrar. When I began the process, WordPress.com told me I would receive a series of emails with confirmation links that I would need to click in order to continue the transfer. So far, I have not received any emails, and I was wondering if anything is wrong.
How long will it take to receive the first email and what’s the frequency of the subsequent emails?

First, make sure that you’re following the guide at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/
The emails are sent to the domain’s contact, which is also controlled via the Domain Manager.
If you don’t see them in your inbox, try checking your email’s spam folder.

Yes. The email address is listed under administrative on the Domain Manager page. If you need me to I can provide to you here.

In fact, I received the authorization code, which I already sent to my new registrar, but after that I got nothing else.

Ok, that’s the important one, the rest are just informational during the process. Basically, now that your receiving registrar has the code, it’s up to them to finish the process, and that usually happens within 7 days.

Yes, thanks.
Since last contact, I’ve received two emails. So I hope the process goes on without a problem.
Thank you.
